Ian Jones, PhD, MA, MSc

Ian’s professional background is in education, most recently in the HE sector, with additional voluntary and advisory roles, principally in inter-ethnic relations, and other social initiatives. Most recently has was Visiting Scholar, MIT Center for the Study of Diversity in Science, Technology and Medicine at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Program in Science, Technology and Society), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA and Senior Lecturer in Sociology, Department of Natural and Social Sciences, University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, UK. He has an M.A. in Education in Multicultural Urban Areas and is a doctor of Philosophy. Ian’s particular interests are in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, quality assurance matters, and student welfare. Ian is a graduate of The Margate School’s Design, Society, Nature course.
