Laura Nyahuye, BA

Laura was born and raised in Zimbabwe and is now based in Coventry, UK. She is a mother, a multi-disciplinary artist, storyteller, designer/ maker, writer, curator, performer, changemaker and advocate. Heavily influenced by her African heritage, Laura’s creative practice spans spoken word, poetry, a palette of textures. Laura’s art celebrates and challenges negative perceptions to do with women. She addresses social issues affecting women and migrant communities such as marginalisation, discrimination and under-representation.
