Lucy Lyons, PhD, MMAA, MA, BA

Lucy lectures in Drawing on The Margate School’s Fine Arts Masters Course. Her own practice uses drawing in the expanded field as intervention into different disciplines, researching how the activity of drawing leads to better understanding through ‘slow looking’. Lucy is lead Tutor for SSC Anatomy and Art, MBBS, UCL Medical School. She lectured on the PhD course ‘Anatomies: Learning to think critically about representations of the medical body’ at University of Copenhagen and was lead tutor for SSC Anatomical art, MBBS, QMUL School of Medicine and Dentistry. Lucy is a member of the Medical Artists’ Association of Great Britain and of the Institute of Anatomical Science.
