Solo Darkroom - Half Day Hire

Service Description

The Margate School is happy to announce the launch of our new Darkroom facility, now available to hire. Our Solo Darkroom is a large space fully equipped with everything you will need for film development and printing. This space is suitable for a single practitioner to occupy at any one time. You will need to be familiar with the processes of a working Darkroom and will be required to undertake an induction on your first visit (approximately 30 minutes). We supply the chemicals and all equipment needed, but you need to provide your own film and photographic paper. You will be responsible for mixing your own chemicals and will be expected to leave the Darkroom in a clean and tidy state when you have finished. If you are a beginner and require technical assistance, one-to-one tuition is available. The TMS Solo Darkroom offers: • 7m² floorspace • Large work surface and shelf space (75 x 150cm) • MEOPTA Opemus 6 enlarger for processing 35mm and medium format film • Up to 12” x 16” prints, or 22” x 32” prints using wall projection function • Large sink (184 x 72.5cm) including shallow process area and deep print wash area • Line drying area • Workspace with Apple iMac •Ilford 1050 RC Print Dryer • Lightbox
