About the event
Expand your darkroom skills on this one day course in black and white photographic printing. Learn to make silver gelatin prints from your black and white negatives, including tips on how to get the most from your analogue photographic image with more advanced techniques. This course is aimed at those new to analogue photography and those in need of a refresher.
In the morning session you will learn to use the photographic enlarger, the chemical process and the basics of printing. Then in the afternoon, you will work on one or two photographs exploring various ways to adjust and improve your images with more in depth aspects of the printing process. Finally we will take time to review your prints and your experience of the workshop.
If during this session you demonstrate experience and confidence in the printing process, you will be able to use the darkroom unsupervised in future.
