About the Event

Jules Pretty is Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and the Royal Society of Arts, former Deputy-Chair of the government’s Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment, and served on advisory committees for BBSRC and the Royal Society. Jules specialises in agricultural sustainability, nature and wellbeing.

Pretty will deliver a public lecture at The Margate School on 21 October, 16:00-17:00, to talk about sustainability and the climate crisis, especially in terms of transitions to a low carbon society as well as touching on the drowning of Doggerland.
