About the Event
Date + Time: Saturday 8th October, 10am – 6pm
Location: Project Space at The Margate School
Aimed at the full spectrum of photography related practitioners, this workshop approaches light and lighting from a holistic point of view. From the objectivity of physics to the subjectivity of human perception, it discusses how light works and how to work with light in order to create the image you want using natural or artificial light sources, or a mixture of both.
The one day workshop is divided into two parts:
We cover the concepts of lighting in the morning, with a hands-on group practice in the afternoon.
10am to 1pm
With the help of illustrations, graphics and photographs, we will be discussing the nature of light itself, from the objective point of view of physics to the subjective aspect of human perception, and how it all combines into a photograph.
