*Disclaimer:
This is a charitable event in support of The Margate School and made possible with the help of many volunteers and the performers' goodwill who are not getting paid for the performances. We can't guarantee that there won't be cancellations of a specific act for whatever that reason might be and can therefore not reimburse any fees paid. Should for any reason the whole event on one or both days be cancelled we will of course reimburse the ticket bought.Â
Your ticket cost will go towards The Margate School’s further fundraising, with a suggested donation of £30 for the two-day event which will give you access to all events.
There will also be additional performances held at The Old Kent Market. Further details and acts are to be announced.
We are continuing our fundraising in order to build a bursary fund for the support of our students, studio holders, fellows, and other community members to access the technical training and facilities at TMS. We already have a seed-fund pledge to kickstart this process and plan to build on this and grow the support mechanisms already in place at TMS. The benefit gig will directly contribute to this.
Many people are continuing to offer support and asking how they can contribute financially - this can be done through the TMS website support page here.
At the time of writing this, we have received over 400 personal comments and offers of help. You can read some of the comments here.
We also want to be transparent about why we need the funding and what it will be used for, so we have updated the Q&A to answer your questions and provide more detail, as we have been asked lots of questions already and we hope that these will help you in answering them.
Thank you to Claire-Beth Gibson for designing the poster artwork.
