About the Event

Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard image editing software for graphic designers, photographers, photo retouchers and artists. Learn the basics on this one day course, and come away with a piece for your portfolio. 

Requirements: Please bring your own laptop with Adobe Photoshop loaded. A trial version is available to download for free here: Adobe Photoshop

Subjects you will cover include:

  • Introduction to the software, interface and navigation
  • Basic principles of non-destructive editing
  • Resizing and cropping
  • Selection tools
  • Colour Correction/ Grading
  • Basic artistic photo effects                         
    • Creating glow and soft effects
    • Black and white with colour detail (Schindlers list)
    • Stretched glitch images
    • Photo retouching (Clone stamp, spot healing etc)

        

  • Custom Shapes, using photos to create forms for design
  • Bonus lessons                         
    • Animated Gifs
    • Custom Brushes
