Duration: 2 months

Location: The Margate School (directions)

Application deadline: 25 February 2021

Within this residency, The Margate School invites four emerging Kent based photographers to create a body of work responding to the theme of Art, Society, Nature in alignment with our European Fine Art Masters Programme. The residency aims to extend learning potential in the expanded field, through art practice, philosophical reflection and an engagement in today’s environmental challenges and sociological investigations.

The residency will last for 8 weeks with access to either The Margate School’s darkroom or digital photography studio. You will also undertake a social media takeover and an artist interview. The residency will culminate in a group exhibition hosted by The Margate School dependent on Covid restrictions.

To apply, you will need to submit a short project proposal (approx. 500 words) with a link to your portfolio to info@themargateschool.com by 25 February 2021.
