Student Profile - Grace King

Updated: Jul 20, 2022

Introducing Grace King from the Visual Communication programme: Design, Society, Nature

Grace King is a writer and aspiring designer from north wales. With an interest illustration, photography and type her work is multidisciplinary and largely focused on the concept of place, nature and memory.

Coming from a writing background with a desire to explore the visual arts, this course has given me the basic tools and confidence to start out in design.

I will be showing a collection of projects for our modules, identity, narrative, typography and visual language. A common theme in my work is space - from transient places, to nature, to borders. As well as this I will include my essay and manifesto, a piece of work that underpins my developing identity as a designer and, in a wider context, as a creative.
