Women in Design panel talk hosted by POW! and The Margate School

POW!
Women in Design panel talk hosted by POW! and The Margate School

Date & Time Saturday, March 6, 2021

5:00 PM - 5:50 PM

Featuring Rebecca Strickson (Host), Lynne Elvins, Joyce Kremer, Marssaie

A report by the Design Museum in 2018 found that women make up only 22% of the design workforce, yet almost 70% of design heavy A-level subjects. In this inspiring panel talk, we introduce four successful females from four corners of the design world, who will share their career experiences, and discuss how we can make positive change and celebrate their work.

A must-watch for any budding designer or artist of any gender!

Meet the panelists:

Rebecca Strickson

Inspired by the traditional imagery of trade union banners and protest placards, Rebecca Strickson’s work explores the power of community and collaboration. Using eye-popping, psychedelic palettes, bold and busy compositions, and fragments of typography, Strickson’s aesthetic harks back to the 1960s, the golden age of civil unrest and positive change.
