Dr Edward Kelly

Edward has a BSc in Electronic Music with Electronics from the University of Hertfordshire, and a PhD in Composition from the University of East Anglia.
He has taught BA Digital Media Design at the London College of Communication for 7 years, and MA Fine Art (Digital) at Camberwell College of Arts for 11 years.
He is a contributor to the Pure Data computer music system, and an expert in recording and editing audio and music. His work also encompasses creative coding and physical computing, for interactive graphics, video and sound. He developed the audio engine for the Ninja Jamm iPhone and Android app, for Ninja Tune records. He is involved in research projects including live music notation, and live segmentation and re-organisation of audio segments in real time.
His research has been published at a number of international conferences and he has played concerts in France, Germany, Canada, Brazil, the USA and the UK.
