Overview
The Margate School Fellowship is a community membership programme that brings together artists, makers, and creative thinkers in a collaborative environment where individual practice flourishes through connection.
As a fellow, you gain access to all our technical facilities—from darkrooms and a kiln to our fablab and digital workstations with access to Adobe —working alongside practitioners from different disciplines in shared creative spaces. Hot desking areas in our communal spaces create natural opportunities for conversation and spontaneous collaboration, while our monthly community lunches, upcoming film club, public talks, and private views build the relationships that make meaningful partnerships possible.
Fellows also receive discounted rates on our short and long courses, an opportunity to learn new skills alongside other community members. This creates an ecosystem where photographers collaborate with ceramic artists, digital practitioners explore traditional techniques, and ambitious interdisciplinary projects become achievable through collective support.
Creative work flourishes in community.
Rather than working in isolation, the fellowship transforms individual practice into collective possibility—a supportive network where knowledge is shared, skills are exchanged, and today's complex creative challenges are addressed through collaboration.
