The slogan of TMS is 'ART SOCIETY NATURE' which is taken from John Ruskin who was an early environmentalist

(and 'godfather' of art schools via William Morris.)

TMS has always been conscious of its 'ecological commitment' and is devising this experimental get together to complement the ever increasing concerns about and interest in 'the environment'.

We have assembled three local experts to stimulate debate and further our general eco-education:

Park Life Then & Now : Green Space, History and Health in Margate

Prof Karen Jones of UKC will talk about the history of urban parks, globally and locally, with a view to exploring the valuable role green space plays in our daily lives. Be ready to delve into the past of your local green landmark and bring your stories along!
