Melanie King is interested in the relationship between the environment, photography and materiality and intends to highlight the intimate connection between celestial objects (sun, moon, stars), photographic material and the natural world. Melanie is currently researching a number of sustainable photographic processes, to minimise the environmental impact of her artistic practice, informed by the Sustainable Darkroom movement.

Lisa Hawkins will be showing recent abstract work in oil and acrylic based on the landscape and the sea around the East Kent Coast.   Walking, drawing and finding a connection to the land beneath our feet is the starting point for these works.
