In memory of sculptor Anthony Heywood, a tutor at The Margate School and early key supporter and advisor. We are creating a community garden transforming a derelict piece of land at the rear of the School and dedicating any area to Anthony, who was a wonderful teacher, artist and role model to so many people over the decades. He was passionate about the environment, the community, social justice and believed that the arts, especially sculpture, have a role to play in addressing the challenges we face. The community garden is an initiative he would have very much supported. Anthony’s family therefore welcomes donations in support of the community garden as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers. Please follow the link below to the donations page.

The funeral will be at Barham Crematorium, Canterbury Road, Barham, Canterbury, CT4 6QU on 10 May at 2PM. There will be a gathering at the family home afterwards near Staple not too far away from Barham. Everyone is welcome.
