An Art-Line for Margate: Eight commissioned artists supported by Arts Council England

The Margate School applied for the Arts Council England Emergency Response Fund to support three key areas of work we have been developing, involving eight local artists and in turn creating a positive legacy for Margate.

We recognise that the current crisis is a big challenge for many artists, and that this project can be a further stepping stone for the Artist toward positively moving beyond the crisis. The Margate School supported the artists from our open call with an Artist's fee, the support of curatorial and technical mentorship, networking and the nature of the project itself, to create work within three key project strands: the Christopher Alexander Strand, Diverse Artists Strand and the Young Artists Strand.

You can view the individual online galleries of the project here and see the exhibitions in The Margate School window space from until 17 December 2020.
