Make the Wave @ The Margate School: Stop the War on People, Society, Nature

When? Now until Thursday, 10 June 2021

Where? The Margate School, 31-33 High Street, Margate, CT9 1DX

Fellow artist, climate and XR rebel, Helen Lindon, together with XR rebel Marcelle Coburn have created MAKE THE WAVE, a mass of local actions taking place in June around the coast to reach Cornwall for the G7 Summit. It will be a ‘movement of movements’, with all who are concerned with the Climate Crisis and Sea Level Rise welcome to raise their voice.

The Margate School is supporting the initiative on Thursday, 10 June 2021 by hanging a canvas, approx. 14m x 5m, in front of the School situated in the old Woolworths building on Margate’s High Street.

We invite you to support us through your imagination and creativity employed to secure our and our children’s and grandchildren's future, to participate in the event and contribute to the action by filling the canvas with words and art. The canvas will be made up in several sections and hung early in the morning on the 10th.

Canvas and necessary art materials will be supplied by The Margate School.
