Join local graphic designer Becky Thomas for a full day workshop as she teaches the basics of screenprinting. 

This workshop will take place in the TMS Print Space.

• You will learn the basic techniques for screenprinting hand drawn designs using photo sensitive emulsion. 
• You’ll hand draw your own A4 two colour design, prepare your screen and print your design onto paper. 
• We will be using waterbased inks and you will get to take your prints home with you.  
• The workshop is limited to 6 people and you will work in pairs, depending on attendance numbers. 
• Feel free to bring ideas with you but inspiration will be provided too.

Becky Thomas (beckyismyname) is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Thanet. With over 20 years industry experience she has worked with many local businesses as well as establishing Margate’s first post-graduate course in Visual Communication at The Margate School and Margate Festival of Design. Becky holds a degree in Print Media from the London College of Printing (now LCC) and at one time worked as a screen printer at Jamieson Print, printing fabric for companies such as Sanderson, Hasbro and The British Museum. Becky established the print facilities at TMS and holds regular workshops in the space.
